GenMH is working with partners to develop a virtual training course in mental health advocacy principles and practice for young people, people with lived experience, and grassroots organizations. The goal of the course is to build advocacy knowledge, advocacy skills and an advocacy mindset amongst participants. With increased capacity, participants will be able to effectively demand sustainable support for mental health programs and policy in collaboration with intersectoral stakeholders.
We are currently building a consultation process in order to finalize the content and format of the course. If you are interested in participating, please contact us at
leadership@generationmentalhealth.org.
Those who are interested in helping to deliver course content, please contact our Chief Programs Officer at anju@generationmentalhealth.org.
If you would like to otherwise discuss partnerships to deliver this program please contact our CEO at jaclyn@generationmentalhealth.org.
GenMH is collaborating with a consortium of youth-led mental health organizations in Kenya, Youth for Mental Health, in order to develop a program to build research skills capacity in youth with lived experience.
The program seeks to address the need for establishing context relevant evidence for youth mental health programs by empowering youth-led organizations to evaluate and publish their impact.
We are currently scoping existing programs and evidence to develop this program. If you are interested in learning more or discussing partnership to deliver this program, please reach out to our CEO at jaclyn@generationmentalhealth.org.
GenMH is building a generation of mental health advocates, researchers and innovators that represent the communities they serve.
